Practice Background
Hazelwood Clinic is a doctor owned general practice located in Hazelwood Park, an eastern suburb of Adelaide. Our Practice has been serving the local and wider community for over 50 years.
We were the first practice in South Australia to be accredited in 1999 and continue this process every 3 years.
The Practice has been involved in the College of General Practitioners training program and currently is involved in the University of Adelaide Medical student teaching program.
The doctors in the Practice consult between 4-7 Sessions per week. The partners cover the after hours period on a rotational roster system. Support staff includes a practice manager, 5 Receptionists and two Practice Nurses. The doctors, support staff and Practice nurse regularly attend courses & seminars to keep their skills well honed. Practice meetings are also held on a regular basis.
The practice has special interests in Women and Men’s Health, Paediatric Medicine, counselling, minor surgical procedures, Geriatric, Palliative and Nursing Home Care.
Dr Geoff Martin joined the Practice in 1976, with Dr Andrew Gilmore joining in 1983.
Dr Sorayya Martin joined the practice in 2001 and became a partner in January 2004.
Dr Elton joined the practice in April 2002 and became a partner in July 2006.
Dr Jeanes joined the practice in November 2002.
Dr Anne Cawley joined us in June 2013
In November 2016 Dr Andrew Gilmore resigned as a partner and he retired as of 30th June 2020.
Dr Muzaffar Karimov joined us in August 2017 and became a partner in July 2019.
Dr Eugene Buenviaje joined the practice in May 2021
